             Kenneth W. Boeger, age 66, of Red Oak, Iowa, passed away Friday, November 28, 2008 at the Montgomery County Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Kenneth Wayne Boeger was born August 9, 1942 in Red Oak, Iowa the son of Edward A. and Anna H. (Swenson) Boeger. He graduated from the Stennett High School in 1960 and started working for Russell Lloyd. After a short time he went to work for Union Carbide until serving in the United States Navy from 1946-1968. Upon his return home he went to work for the Union Carbide again. Kenneth was united in marriage to Nadine Roberson on January 17, 1969 in Red Oak, Iowa. Kenneth worked for Union Carbide when it became Eveready Battery Company and was working for them when the Red Oak Plant closed in 1996. He then worked for Communication Data Services until his retirement in October of this year. Kenneth was a great athlete over the years loving basketball and baseball. He was an avid gardener and always worked very hard at whatever he accomplished. He always liked to have a good time and especially with his grandchildren. Kenneth will be missed by all who knew him.
            Preceding him in death were his parents. Survivors include his wife: Nadine Boeger of Red Oak, Iowa; children: Clarisa Christensen and husband Trent of Waukee, Iowa; Kimberly Tavano and husband Victor of Kissimmee, Florida; and Richard Boeger of Mission, Kansas; grandchildren: Mason and Trevor Christensen of Waukee, Iowa and Julia and Nicholas Tavano of Kissimmee, Florida; brother: Ed Boeger and wife Judy of Omaha, Nebraska; sister: Lois Coe of Marceline, Missouri; many brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
             Memorial services will be held 2 PM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lamb officiating. Visitation with the family will be held from Noon until 2 PM Saturday, December 6, 2008 at the Nelson-Boylan-LeRette Funeral Chapel.
