1966 ALUMNI REUNION
51ST BANQUET
MINUTES - MAY 28, 1966
The 51st Annual Banquet of the Henderson High School Alumni Association was held May 28, 1966 at 8:00 p.m. D.S.T. at the Henderson School Gymnasium. The dinner was served by the Christian C.W.F. It was attended by 108 members. The invocation was given by Rev. Clement Rowe, and Bill Harbor acted as Master of Ceremonies. President Wanda Williams presided at business meeting. Bill Harbor welcomed six seniors into the Association. Dick Godfrey, the only senior attending, gave the response.
There was recognition of every 10th year class starting with 1906, 1916, 1926, etc. This fit in well with the theme of “School Daze.”
The following officers were named for 1967:
President H. E. Paul, 1st Vice-President Robert Fleming, 2nd Vice-President Doris Fleming, Secretary Vicky Wilber Putnam, Treasurer Darlene Bolton, and Historian Ruby Godfrey
After the meal and business meeting everyone joined in singing. The program committee entertained by presenting the “Dean Martin Show.”

There was recognition of every 10th year class starting with 1906, 1916, 1926, etc. This fit in well with the theme of “School Daze.”

The dinner was served by the Methodist W.S.C.S. which was attended by 97. The invocation was given by Rev. Robert Jones, and Don Pendegraft acted as Master of Ceremonies. President H. E. Paul presided at the business meeting.
Don Pendegraft welcomed eleven seniors into the Association. Charles Paul gave the response.
The theme was “The Maypole” and was decorated accordingly.
The following officers were named for 1968:
President – Robert Fleming; 1st Vice President – Gene Bolton; 2nd Vice-President – Bob Roeder; Secretary – Vicky Putnam; Treasurer – Darlene Bolton; Historian – Ruby Godfrey
The 10-year class of 1957 was recognized by Judy Magers, one of its members.

The 53rd Annual Banquet of the Henderson High School Alumni Association was held Saturday, May 25, 1968, at 8:00 p.m. at the Henderson School Gymnasium. The dinner was served by the Christian C.W.F. which was attended by 85. The invocation was given by Rev. Robert Jones, and Charles Paul acted as Master of Ceremonies. Members and their guests were seated by classes.
Minnie Allensworth welcomed 11 Seniors into the Association. Verla Wilber gave the response.
President Robert Fleming presided at the business meeting. The minutes were read and approved. The Treasurer’s Report was read. The Historian gave her report. Old business was discussed about having class pictures put in a scrap book. A motion was made that Bill Harbor was to look into this. It was seconded. There was no new business discussed.

1969 ALUMNI REUNION
54TH BANQUET
MINUTES - MAY 31, 1969
The 54th Annual Banquet of the Henderson High School Alumni Association was held Saturday May 31, 1969, at 8:00 p.m. D.S.T. at the Henderson School Gymnasium. The dinner was served by the Methodist W.S.C.S. which was attended by 147. The invocation was given by Jim Stenger and Harry Paul acted as Master of Ceremonies. President Wanda Williams opened the evening by having everyone say the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Members and their guests were seated.
Harry Paul welcomed five seniors into the Association. John Paul gave the response.
President Wanda Williams presided at the business meeting. The minutes were read and approved. The Treasurer’s Report was read with the balance of $91.19 for 1969. The Historian gave her report. Old business was discussed about whether or not to continue the Annual Banquet. It was decided to be continued. There was no new business except the following officers were named for 1970:
President Sy Brown; 2nd Vice-President Bob Roeder; 1st Vice-President Judy Magers; Secretary Lois Murray; Treasurer Darlene Bolton; Histor4ian Ruby Godfrey
The program was opened with introducing the teachers who were present. It was a time for old memories as diplomas ranging from the class of 1899 to 1969 were on display with many other items such as the sports trophies, class pictures, etc.
The first organization of the Alumni was formed in April 1916. It was named Henderson High School Alumni Association. The motto was “Boost” and the colors were red and white. The first school was built in 1896 then in 1908. The first graduating class was in 1897 with eight members.
The rest of the evening was spent looking over the display of memories.

55TH BANQUET
MINUTES - JUNE 6, 1970
The 55th Annual Banquet of the Henderson High School Alumni Association was held Saturday, June 6, 1970 at 8:00 p.m. at Henderson School Gymnasium. The Christian C.W.F. served dinner which was attended by 145. Rev. Delbert Terry gave the invocation. Bill Harbor acted as Master of Ceremonies.
Classes of 1929-’30-’31 and ’32 were honored for the evening, specifically the members of the basketball team who went to State. Also honored by special introduction were sixteen “faculty alumni.”
The Henderson graduates of Nishna Valley High School were welcomed to the Alumni Association by Robert Fleming. Response was given by Edna Fleming.
President Sy Brown presided over the business meeting. The Secretary’s Report was read and approved. The Treasurer reported a balance of $123.78 for 1970. Ruby Godfrey read the Annual Historian’s Report.
The nomination committee submitted the following for 1971 officers:
President – Minnie Allensworth; 2nd Vice-President – Melvin Viner; 1st Vice-President – LaDonna Stephens; Secretary – Abbie Duysen; Treasurer – Phyllis Brown; Historian – Ruby Godfrey
