All previous records of the Henderson Alumni Association were destroyed in a fire at the Clarence McKinney home in the fall of 1952; therefore, there are no records of the previous meetings.


1953 ALUMNI REUNION
38TH BANQUET
MINUTES - APRIL 15, 1953


                The executive committee of the 1953 Henderson Alumni Association met on Wednesday evening, April 15th, 1953. Those present were: Donald Parker – President; Wanda Williams – Vice-President; Leo Boileau – Secretary; Gertrude Harover – Treasurer; Evelyn McKinney – Advisory Member
The following Committee Members were chosen for this year:

Program Committee: Chairman Lois Magers, Josephine Bowen, Bill Harbor, H. E. Paul, Elizabeth Viner
Arrangement Committee: Chairman Bill Phillips, Fred Sowers, Herman Coppock, Vera Braden, Elizabeth Edmondson

1954 ALUMNI REUNION
39TH BANQUET
MINUTES - MAY 21, 1954

The business meeting of the Henderson Alumni Association was called to order by President Donald Parker. Secretary Leo Boileau read the minutes of the last meeting.
Shirley Butterfield, Chairman of the nominating committee made a motion the following officers would serve for the next year’s banquet:

President – H. E. Paul; Vice-President – James Holt; Secretary – Betty Talkington; Treasurer – Bonnie Brown

G. L. Harover seconded the motion and the meeting was adjourned. (Dinner was served by the Christian Ladies Aid.)

                The Business meeting of the Henderson Alumni Association was called to order by President H. E. Paul. Lois Magers read the minutes of the last meeting.
                Wanda Williams, Chairman of the nominating committee, made a motion the following officers would serve for the next year’s banquet: President – Bill Harbor; Vice-President – Morris Harbor; Secretary – Deloma Allensworth; Treasurer – Jo Ann Houser
               Dinner was served by the Methodist Ladies Aid. The program was carried out with a western theme and everybody was dressed in gingham and jeans. There were 159 alumni and guests present.
The Executive Committee of the 1955 Henderson Alumni met and the following committee members were chosen:

Program Committee: Chairman – Dwight Allensworth, Donald Allensworth, Donald Parker, Elizabeth Edmondson
Arrangements Committee: Bill Phillips, Herman Coppock, Leo Boileau, Jim Stenger, Gerald Houser, Dick Allensworth
Decorating Committee: Chairman Ruby Godfrey, Darlene Bolton, Phyliss Brown, Evelyn Osler, Viva Allensworth
Menu Committee: Chairman Minnie Allensworth, Ardis Stenger, Genessee Stephens

Nominating and Welcoming Committee: Glen Brown – Chairman; Mae Wight, Paul Phillips

Menu for 1954 - Served 159. Paid. Waiters & Cooks
(Food purchased for 200)


1.       Pineapple Juice – 5 Gal.
2.       Creole Chicken – 15 pans – to int 15 each (could ranc used 1 more pan). (15 large hens – 5 large pkg. shallattes – 4 doz. Hard boiled eggs. Pimientos 8 cans - $1.69 pkg. potato chips for topping).
3.       Parsley New Potatoes – 100 lb. new potatoes. Too many potatoes but you might need this many if they were mashed or fixed some other way.
4.       Buttered green beans – 40 cans – 5 serving to can – could have used a few more as servings were skimpy.
5.       Spiced grape salad – (28 pkgs. Orange jello – 14 cans of pineapple – 14 cans spiced grapes – 15 cup chopped celery – lettuce 15 head shredded (too much lettuce).)
6.       Rolls – 25 doz. Too many. 22 doz. probably would have been enough.
7.       Butter – 4 lbs. whole for seasoning. 6 lbs. quartered for table.
8.       Relishes – Celery – 7 bunches – used in salad & on table – 6 bunch radishes – 3 bunch carrots.
9.       Ice Cream – Butter Brickle – 6 gal.
10.   Angel Food Cake – 14 cakes, 1 left over cut in 16 pieces.
11.   Coffee – 6 lb. – 50 cup to lb.
12.   Jelly – 6 glasses


Flour for thickening – salt – sugar - pepper

1955 ALUMNI REUNION
40TH BANQUET
MINUTES

                The business meeting of the Henderson Alumni Association was called to order by President Bill Harbor. Secretary Deloma Allensworth read the minutes of the last meeting. Jo Ann Houser gave the Treasurer’s Report.
                Glen Brown, Chairman of the Nominating Committee, made a motion that the following officers would serve for the coming year:



President – Agnes Workman; Vice-President – Jim Stenger; Secretary – Deloma Allensworth; Treasurer – Jo Ann Houser

                Dinner was served by the Christian Ladies Aid. The program and decorating carried out the “Henderson High” Theme with Jo Ann Houser as mistress of ceremonies.
